CLUB ANNUAL TRIP TO BRIGHT AND THE VICTORIAN ALPS
Thursday 19th – Sunday 22nd November

Itinerary (departure times from Willowdene, ride as far as you want):

Thursday 1pm – Mt Buffalo Friday 7.30am – Tawonga Gap/ Mt Beauty/ Bogong Village/ Falls Creek Saturday 7.30am – Mt Hotham/ Dinner Plain/ Mt Hotham/ Tawonga Gap south side. Sunday – whatever you like (Buffalo or Mt Rosewhite loop?) .

Dinning (bookings thanks to Graham):
Book ahead in bars and restaurants due to limited capacity.

Wednesday: some early birds eating at The Star Hotel
Thursday: nothing booked.
Friday: Sole e Luna has been booked for a 6 – 8 pm sitting*. We have 2 tables of 10 inside. We have booked offer for larger groups of 3 courses for $50 rather than the menu (drinks extra, pay at the bar). Money collected on the night.
Saturday: Bright Brewery has been booked for a 5.30 – 7.15 pm sitting*. We will be outside on 3 tables. Most likely full table service. They have their full menu.

*Graham is not taking names or bookings. Please let him know up there if you’re not going.

Accomodation:
All the rooms that Graham had pre-booked at Willowdene Apartments and elsewhere are now taken. There’s plenty of accomodation in the area and several of us will be staying elsewhere in town but all gathering together for the rides and socialising.

Covid19 Restrictions:
(You know this stuff)
- ride in groups of up to 10.
- 1.5m social distancing
- wear face masks unless riding and carry one even then
- no social gatherings inside units/apartments

Arrange via chat rooms or email

Preparation:
I hope you’ve all been dizzily circumnavigating your 5km bubbles over winter (don’t gloat Rowena). There are shortcuts for those less fit but its time for us all to notch up the training to maximum.
Bring plenty of gear. The forecast is looking good but we’ve had a vast range of conditions on these events, from scorching to blizzards. There may be rain, especially on Sunday, and you can assume it will be much colder on the tops. You can also assume that you cannot assume anything about the weather in The Alps.
