An UPDATE for the Grantville Bass Coast Hills Ride.
The Weather Gods are smiling on us and Saturday is looking dry and cool.
Change to parking/meeting point from behind shops on left which is potholed and likely muddy, to the carpark for the Memorial Park/Library which is opposite the shops: turn right at the lights and immediately on the right, where there are also toilets. Other details below remain.
Take plenty of pocket food as lunch at Loch is 90 km away.

Following the success of the Gippsland ride in June, Tony Gray has designed a ride for you all through the Bass Coast Hills. Saturday 30 July 2022. It is 131 km, 2047 M elevation. Ride starts and finishes in Grantville.

It’s a great route and not far from the city. Of course it will still be winter time so come prepared. If the weather is looking dodgy Tony will make a call to either postpone or cancel. He’s also provided a great description and a route you can upload as a .gpx file.

Route description : Grantville, Glen Forbes, up The Gorge, Archies Creek, Blackwood Forest, Gen Alvie, Kongwak, Bena, Poowong (at 75km 1st public toilets), Loch at 88 km for lunch at Olive on Loch, along Loch-Wonthaggi Rd to turnoff to Almurta, Kernot, Woodleigh, Shuntoff, Grantville.

The ride is anti-clockwise, and nice quiet country roads in the main.
Plenty of parking behind shops on the left at Grantville at the main intersection, public toilets across the road adjoining the library. 8.00am start. Grantville is about 95km. 1 hour 15 min from Croydon.

Any queries to Tony on 0414823753 or at graymarlin5@gmail.com
